  1. Hi Dayakar,

Great info! I recently came across your blog and have been reading along.
I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have

We have a weird issue with MSSQL 2012 on AMAZON (RDS), at one point the CPU spikes to 20 % and the 20% is now the new 0% until I change the threshold for parallelism. This means the cpu stays constant > 20% during the day. After the modification of the parameters the cpu drops and the sql server shows normal CPU signs going from 5% to 10% with some higher spikes. I have no idea why this happens and why this resolves itself when I change the max dop or the threshold for parallelism.

Excellent tutorials - very easy to understand with all the details. I hope you will continue to provide more such tutorials.

Fully agree on Query to Find an Object Type . We’re seeing a lot of projects tackle big complex problems but few seem to have taken into consideration and in particular reasons to adopt.

My table column type is clob. Field value contain double quotes

    id,text_clob,date

    1,"\"data1\",0,1,1,1,\"data2\"","2018-03-03 09:08:45"

can you kindly help loader query. I cant use replace in clob field.

It was cool to see your article pop up in my google search for the process yesterday. Great Guide.

    Keep up the good work!

    Thank you,

Please help with the below query.

Requirement: To track DML changes on multiple tables and to populate its consolidated records in one master table by having triggers on the MLOG tables.

Action : I have created triggers on MLOG tables, few of them works and few are failed.

Query: Need suggestion, Is it advisable to have triggers on MLOG$_TABLES (Materialized view log tables ), If yes , Is there any restriction to have so.

Please keep providing such valuable information.

    Many Thanks,
    Preethi.
